What can we do?

With a wide range of analytical methods, we perform more than 3,500 tests. No question is too complex for us. Our expertise lies in analyzing unknown substances, performing specific control analyses and testing air and gas samples. A careful intake process ensures that we know exactly what you want to test, why and for what purpose, so that we can deploy the right equipment and analytical techniques.

At NEDLAB, we perform a wide range of laboratory analyses tailored to your research question. With more than 3,500 different tests, we provide accurate and reliable results for a variety of industries. Our laboratory performs three main types of analysis:

1. Analysis of unknown substances
When the composition of a substance is unknown, we employ advanced analytical techniques to understand its chemical structure. We begin with a broad screening to determine the product group and then conduct targeted analyses to determine the exact composition.

2. Specific control analyses
For products in industries such as pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, it is essential to meet strict specifications and regulations. We verify that substances and finished products are within the required standards using precise analytical methods. These include purity determinations, detection of contaminants and conformity testing according to international guidelines.

3. Air and gas analyses
Among other things, we test indoor air, process gases and medical oxygen for purity and possible contaminants. Our sophisticated equipment allows us to detect even the smallest deviations, ensuring safety for the user. Read here more about our air and gas analyses.

In addition to our specialized analyses, we perform a wide range of tests to provide insight into the composition and properties of materials. Whether identifying unknown substances, quality control or detecting unwanted components, we provide accurate and reliable test results. Our testing capabilities include:

– Identification of substances
– Purity: purity, assay, content
– Water content (Karl Fischer)
– Acid number and pH
– Contaminants and contaminants
– Polymers
– Aldehydes and ketones
– Non-volatile compounds
– Dry matter
– Ash content
– Flash point
– Chemical oxygen demand
– Total nitrogen (via Kjeldahl or TOC/TN equipment)
– Total Organic Compounds (TOC/TN)

What equipment does NEDLAB have?

To perform our analyses with the highest precision, NEDLAB has an extensive and sophisticated collection of testing and analytical equipment. Our equipment includes elemental analysis, gas chromatography and liquid chromatography. Thanks to these technologies, we deliver reliable results.

Our element analysis techniques allow us to accurately determine the composition of materials, including detection of low concentrations of metals and other elements. We use the following equipment for this purpose:
– ICP-OES
– ICP-MS
– AAS HGA (graphite furnace)
– AA cold vapor (CV)
– X-ray fluorescence (XRF, EDX)

Gas chromatography is a technique used to separate and analyze the different substances in a mixture, such as helium or nitrogen. We use the following equipment:
– GC-FID
– GC-TCD
– GC-MS

Liquid chromatography is used to separate, identify and analyze substances in a mixture. This technique is suitable for analyzing complex mixtures, such as drugs, nutrients and biological samples, among others. The equipment we use for this purpose are:
– HPLC-UV/vis
– HPLC-RI
– HPLC-Fluorescence
– HPLC-DAD

This method is often used to see if there are harmful substances in water, air or soil, for example. The ions are distinguished from the liquid. For this we use the following equipment:
– IC
– Combustion ion chromatography

Using ultraviolet light (UV) and visible light (Vis), concentrations of various substances in a sample can be measured. We use the following analysis techniques:
– Fixed wavelength
– Wavelength scan
– Time driven scan

This technique allows us to analyze the molecular structure of substances through the absorption of infrared light. Our analytical techniques:
– FTIR
– U-ATR
– Sandwich
– Spacer
– Tablet
– Gas cell 10 cm and 500 cm

Titrimetry is used to determine the concentration of a particular substance in a solution by reacting it with a titrant. Consider, for example, the Karl Fischer water determination.

Gravimetry is an analysis that involves measuring the mass of a sample or its components. This is often used to determine the amount of solids in water or the moisture content of foods.
